GOOD-WILL MESSAGES

CANADIAN AND N.Z. PRESS

The New Zealand Press Association has received a cablegram from Toronto conveying the following resolution passed by the Canadian Press: "Moved by L. J. Blackburn (London, Ontario, "Free Press"), seconded by Kenneth C. Drury (Victoria, "British Columbia Times"), that the members of the Canadian Press in annual meeting assembled, having noted with concern the unprecedented difficulties and dangers confronting their colleagues of Australia and New Zealand, place on record their admiration for the resourcefulness with which these conditions are being met, and share the fervent hopes of their confreres of the Antipodes for a decisive victory and a lasting peace."

In a cablegram expressing warm appreciation for this message of good will, the New Zealand Press Association conveyed its keen admiration of Canada's contribution to the war effort and the stimulus given to that effort by the Press of Canada.
