DEFENCE WORKS
TO PROCEED ON ANZAC DAY
On Anzac Day, which falls on Saturday of this week, work on all urgent defence works will proceed, and controllers have already directed the various undertakings engaged on urgent defence works to this effect, states Mr. James Fletcher, Commissioner of Defence Construction. Workers employed will be entitled to appropriate rates of payment as prescribed by the awards or emergency orders, whichever apply.
