FINE FAMILY RECORD

SIX SONS WENT OVERSEAS

(P.A.) HAMILTON, February 27. The six sons of Mr. C. Bernie, who came to Hamilton from Taumarunnui a year ago, have achieved a notable record of service with the Second N.Z.E.F., for which they volunteered in the early days of the war. Their names are Ronald, Cecil. Raymond. Keith. Douglas, and Charles.

The last-named, aged 18. was killed in action in the Western Desert on February 28 last year. Cecil and N Raymond have returned, and the other three are still on active service.

Of Mr. Bernie's four daughters, one is married to an Australian naval officer and another is one of Hamilton's first mail delivery girls.
