EXPERIENCES
An unstinted tribute to the spirit and courage of the New Zealand troops in Libya was paid by Lieu-tenant-Colonel J. R. Page, the wellknown New Zealand Rugby football representative, who is at present in the "Dominion, in an interview. "They fought magnificently at the battle for Sidi Rezegh," he said, "and they upheld the prestige of the 'Silent Division' —old soldiers will know what that means. They were very fit, and they were well trained for desert warfare." Colonel Page was wounded in the lung during the final assault on Sidi Rezegh, which was valiantly defended by the strongly-entrenched German troops. •"They were good soldiers, and they fought us to the end," he said Sidj Rezegh, he explained, was little more than a mosque and an aerodrome, but it had a big strategic importance for both sides.
