"COMMON INTEREST"
CANADA'S RELATIONS WITH VICHY (Rec. noon.) RUGBY, Feb. 25. Asked in the House of Commons why the British Government requested the Canadian Government to remain in diplomatic. relations with Vichy when his Majesty's Government itself had severed such relations, the Foreign Secretary said:—
"In reply to a request received from his Majesty's Government of Canada for an indication of our views as to the desirability of maintaining diplomatic relations with Vichy Government, his Majesty's Government stated that it considered it would be in the common interest for his Majesty's Government in Canada^to remain in diplomatic relations with Vichy."—B.O.W.
