BLACK-OUT BREACHES
INFORMATION FOR COURT
"In cases of prosecution for breaches of the lighting' regulations the Court must be informed of the lighting regulations of the particular district where the breach has occurred^" said Mr. A. M Goulding, S.M.. in the Petone Magistrate's Court yesterday. He said,that in some districts there Was no necessity for a black-out. while in others every light had to be shaded. A charge of causing a breach of the lighting regulations was preferred against a resident, by the Eastbourne Controller of the E.P.S. It was stated that the breach did not occur during a period bf total black-out The case was dismissed owing to lack of evidence regarding the nature of lighting regulations in the Eastbourne district.
