Indignation at the peremptory manner in which the national rebroadcast from America was concluded following Mr. Roosevelt's latest speech in Auckland was Widely expressed, reports tlie "New Zealand Herald." Immediately after the speech the American commentator announced the playing of the American National Anthem, but no sooner had it started than the announcer in Wellington interrupted to say that the speech would be rebroadcast later in the day. It was considered that the action was most discourteous and that similar treatment of the British National Anthem in an Allied country would arouse much comment.
