LABOUR FOR SHELTERS
Speaking at the luncheon meeting of the ' Wellington Returned Services' Association yesterday, 'the Mayor said that he had attended a
conference •of Cabinet Ministers, together with the city engineers of Auckland and Wellington, and trade union officials, at which the problems of obtaining labour for air-raid shelters work were discussed. He was hopeful of the difficulties of labour supply being straightened out. No city in NeAv Zealand was further ahead in the provision of shelters than Avas Welling-, ton at the present time.
