10s (id. "L.F.C." —Mariuoto is a five-year-old chestnut gelding by Flying Prince from Archangel, and is owned and trained by S. Banks, although for a period he carried the colours of Mrs. F. M. Rellly, Te Rapa. Kan second at first start as three-year-old in Pairere Hack Handicap at Matamata. Did not again race till following season, when ran four times for one second, in Trial Stakes at Waikato. This season has contested seven events for one win, iii Prankton Handicap, 7 furlongs, at Waikato on November 17, and has been three times second and third once. Prior to Salm-! day ran second to Edna's Birthday in Okoroire Handicap, 9 furlongs, at Mata mata on February 7. Archangel, the dam, was by Archiestown.
