BLOODSTOCK SALES
I At the dispersal sale at Hamilton of Mrs. R. Carrington's Hillcrest Stud, the Blandford stallion Baffles failed to reach the reserve and was passed in at 600 guineas. A yearling colt by Hunting Song—Linguist was bought by Mr. R. J. Jeffares, Taradale, for 150 guineas, and Mr. G. Laimbeer, Cami bridge, paid 140 guineas for a yearling filly by Hunting Song from Short CirAt the third annual Waikato thoroughbred sale, held at Te Rapa, the nine-year-old mare Golden Princess (by Lackham) was sold on account of Mr. J. E. Woodhead, Rototuna, for 750 guineas to Mr. J. A. Mitchell, Longburn. This mare was in paddock condition, but had at foot an exceptionally attractive filly foal, a full-sister to. the Great Northern Dei by and Guineas winner, Regal Fox.
