CHEESE AND PIGS.
"It has been officially estimated tr.at the. change-over to cheese from tutter production will this season affect pig production to the extent of approximately 100,000 pigs," stated Mr. W. A. Phillips, chairman of directors of the New Zealand Co-operative Pie Marketing Association, Hamilton. From June Ito November 30 New Zealand's total pig killings increased just under 10 per cent., while the association's turnover increased 12 Vj per cent. The upward trend waa. maintained in December, but national killings declined sharply lust month.
