NO SABOTAGE
LOSS OF THE NORMANDIE

NEW YORK, February 24,
The Chief Fire Marshal, Mr. Thomas Brophy, issued a report on the loss of the liner Normandie, stating definitely .that it has been proved that no sabotage was involved. 'The blaze was caused accidentally by sparks from an acetylene burner igniting bales of kapok and life-preservers.
