MARSEILLES

(Rec. 9 a.m.)

LONDON, Feb. 24,

Vichy reports that fourteen persons were killed and 30 injured in a gas works explosion at Marseilles, which wrecked buildings in the centre of the city. '

Through the efforts of enthusiastic workers, the Te Aro School is to have a swimming bath of its own. Acting upon approved plans and specifications, voluntary labour has done the job in a manner that is a credit to all concerned. The bath, which is 40ft by 15ft, is to be opened on Saturday afternoon.
