Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands, in a broadcast to her people, paid a tribute to the gallant defenders of the Netherlands East IndieS. Regarding the Caribbean area, the Queen said:—- * "The menace to Curacao and the other islands is imminent. At any moment the same fate may befall Sirunam" (Dutch Guiana, on the South American mainland).—8.0. W.
