AUSTRALIA AIDING
LONDON, February 22,
Australia's determination to support to the last the fight of the Netherlands East Indies against the invader was voiced today by Dr. H. V. Evatt, Minister of External Affairs. Dr. Evatt said: "We have always regarded the Netherlands East Indies as a vital bastion against Japan. The Australians have been and are helping to defend the islands, and every request by General Wavell has been complied with by the Australian Government."
