AMATEUR ATHLETICS
Juniors were strongly represented at the Wellington Amateur Athletic Centre's graded scratch meeting on Saturday. A number of good performances was recorded. Perhaps the best was that of Waller in winning the 880 yards in 2mm 11 l-ssee. Young, the secondary school shot put champion, was not extended to win his event with the smart effort of 39ft 2Vain. Boyd won the sprints in similar fashion. Tn the senior sprints Fox vms once again successful, though he just managed to get home from Sandle in the 70 yards contest.
