(Rec. 11.10 a.m.) RUGBY, Feb. 20. A Soviet communique was confinedt to the statement that military opera-, tions against the enemy are continuing, Moscow radio states that after overcoming stubborn enemy resistance Soviet troops entered a suburb of $ large town on the south-western front, and that street fighting is in progress* The enemy is sustaining heavy losses. Meanwhile, military circles in Berlin, according to a Stockholm correspondent, are now declaring that extensive Russian attacks need no longer bat anticipated, and that the Germans have come through winter war successfully. It is also asserted that thai German positions on the plastic linai have now been consolidated and are to a large extent ready to constitute de« parture points for a German offensive.
