Mrs. Graham' Chater, who has been visting her mother, Mrs. Gilbert Archey, Auckland, returned to' Wellington today.
Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Wrigley, Wellington, returned yesterday from Qhristchiirch, where they had been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. McKenzie, Roydon Lodge, Riccarton. Mr. and Mrs. McKenzie yesterday left for a visit to "The Lodge," Hanmer Springs.
Mrs. P. C. Lee,,Wanganui, is a visitor to Wellington for the Metiiodist Church Conference.
Mrs. E. D. Recce, who has been visiting Mrs. E. T. Recce, Fendalton, Christchurch, has returned to Wellington.
Mrs. J. Scanlon and Miss J. Nilsson are Wanganui visitors to Wellington.
Ellen Terry's cottage in High Street, Uxbridge, England, has been demolished brick by brick and placed in store. After the war it is hoped, to re-erect it on another site to preserve the memory of the famous actress. No decision regarding the new site has been made.
To prepare celery for the table scrub well with a small nail-brush (kept solely for this purpose).
