GUERRILLAS IN SERBIA
WASHINGTON, February 18,
It is learned that the Yugoslav Goyernment-in-exile has requested United States lease-lend aid for General Mikhailovitch's troops who are carrying out guerrilla warfare against the Germans in the mountains of southern Serbia.
General Mikhailovitch has* received some aid from abroad, believed to be air-borne supplies from Russia, since the start of the campaign, but the Serb munitions factories are in German hands, and the Serbians badly need war .materials to'carry on their forays, which are causing the Germans steady losses "in men and material. If: will be recalled that a band of New Zealariders who. escaped from Greece made ' their way to Serbia, where ' they are now fighting with General Mikhailovitch's forces.
