He will shortly proceed to the* United States, where he will carry out work he has J already begun in regard to the pooling of. resources between the united nations, together with such other special duties that may be entrusted to him from time to time by the War Cabinet. It is intended that the Minister of State, Mr. Oliver Lyttelton, should exercise general supervision over pro- , duction. - The War Cabinet has been reduced from nine members .to seven/ Mr. Arthur Greenwood and Sir Kingsley Wood are no longer members. LONDON, February 19. Important changes in Britain's War Cabinet are announced tonight from No. 10 Downing Street.
Lord Beaverbrook, Minister of Production, has left the Government, and Sir Stafford Cripps, former Ambassador to Moscow, becomes leader of the House of Commons.
An official announcement says that the King' has-been pleased to approve the following appointments:— Prime Minister and Minister of Defence—Mr. Churchill.
Dominions Secretary—Mr. C. R. Attlee; Lord Privy Seal and Leader of the House of Commons —Sir Stafford Cripps. Lord President of the Council—Sir John Anderson. Foreign Secretary—Mr. Anthony Eden.
