Conditions were ideal at Awapuni when horses engaged at the Woodville Meeting were given their final gallops. The plough was in good order and on the course proper, where the going was hard, the fast work took place on the rails. On the course proper, Full Light was well clear of Myarion at the end of a mile, the last seven taking lmin 33 2-ssec, which was a good effort. Leisurely finished smoothly well,clear of Sea Quex, who was not ridden put, to record the best five of the morning. The time was lmin 6sec. Teddy Lack and Sylva Lass ran four in 53sec; Theolateral four in 52 4-ssec; Banco fotfr in 53 3-ssec; Lady Spiral was not under pressure, running three in 40 2-ssec; Rickie sprinted four, the last three in 38sec; Kahuranaki came home from the three in 39 2-ssec, and wanted to go on with it; Sir Bradbury and Nighean separately sprinted down the straight, both going well.
