REDOUBLED EFFORTS
CALL TO BRITISH
WORKERS
LONDON, February 18.
Mr. A. V. Alexander, First Lord of the Admiralty, has expressed his confU dence in the British workers, who must, he says, redouble their efforts.
He said it was certain we could out* build and finally out-match what the enemy could do, provided we all pulled hard and strong together. It was no use under-estimating the gravity of the Japanese threat, but it should prove as insistent and powerful a dynamic to all the allies as Dunkirk had been to the British people. We must continue to help the gallant fighting in Russia to the fullest extent that our resources would permit in. relation, to our other commitments.
