FIRE WATCHING
REGULATIONS SOON
Within a day or two the local regulations regarding fire watching should be issued, and owners, occupiers, 3nd employees in buildings in the business sections of the city will know where they stand.
The main obligation upon them remains to notify, if they have not already done so, to the Permanent Organiser, Fire Watching Service, Mr. V. E. Hampsen-Tindale, c/o Colonial Mutual Life Assurance, the name and address of the organiser of their particular buildings. There is a direct and repeatedly stated responsibility to supply this foundation fact at once.
Mr. Tindale said today that unple time had now been given owners and occupiers of buildings in the high risk areas of the city to comply voluntarily and helpfully. When the regulations were issued calling upon owners a \d occupiers to immediately comply ihey could" not very well expect any considerable further period of grace.
