MR. NASH'S CREDENTIALS

PRESENTED TO MR.

ROOSEVELT

(Rec. 2.40 p.m.) : WASHINGTON, February 16. The New Zealand Minister, Mr. Walter Nash, presented his credentials to President Roosevelt today. Mr. Roosevelt assured Mr. Nash that America would not falter until the task of complete freedom was secured. "Both the United States and New Zealand," he said,"are Pacific Powers, and the interests of' the' two countries are inextricably , woven together. The spread of wanton aggression has only drawn our countries closer and made us more conscious of our interdependence." Mr. Nash told the President that New Zealand is grateful for America's splendid assistance and co-operation in j the fight for freedom.
