NEW ZEALAND UNITS
EVACUATED FROM SINGAPORE
The Minister of Defence (Mr. Jones)' announced last night that Air Headquarters, Wellington, had been advised that the New Zealand aerodrome construction unit which had been operating in the Far East was evacuated before the fall of Singapore. Mr. Jones added that the personnel of the New ._ Zealand Fighter Squadron was also reported safe. Immediately further information was received it would be made available to tlie public.
