MALTA'S GRUELLING TRIAL
LONDON, February 2. During January Malta had no fewer than 263 alerts.
Two alerts were sounded on Saturday afternoon and evening .for a number of enemy aircraft which dropped bombs, causing no damage and no casualties. Three alerts were sounded on Saturday night, when bombs.damaged civilian property and caused casualties. During Sunday there were six alerts, but neither damage nor casualties. were reported.
