CONTROL IN UNITED STATES
WASHINGTON, January 27.
The Price Administrator, Mr. Leon Henderson, announced that everyone will be limited to 12 ounces of sugar weekly under a rationing plan beginning in the middle of February. He warned that the Government planned to recover hoarded supplies from householders if necessary.
The War Production Board has earmarked the entire United States aluminium supply for war production, prohibiting immediately all civilian manufacture, except a handful of essential items, which will be restricted to low-grade aluminium.
