"He was one of the most able officers there and I am very sorry to see that he has gone," Dr. Bruce Rennie, of Karori, who recently returned from overseas, said today. Dr. Rennie added that he had last seen Dr. Twhigg about a month before he left the Middle East.

Dr. Twhigg, who had been in practice in Wellington for about twelve years before going on active service, is a M.D. (N.Z.) and a M.R.C.P. (England). He was one of the senior physicians at the Wellington Hospital. He first practised at Kilbirnie, but later had consulting rooms at Bowen Street. He is a son of Mr. John Twjiigg, Dunedin, and was born in that city.
