DECEASED M.P.'S
Tributes to Lieutenant A. G. Hultquist (Bay of Plenty), LieutenantColonel J. M. Allen (Hauraki), and Major A. N. Grigg, M.C. (Mid-Canter-bury), who have died overseas in their country's service, were paid in the House of Representatives yesterday. Sympathetic reference was also made to the fact that the member for Awarua, Brigadier J. Hargest, D.5.0., M.C, is reported missing, but is believed to be a prisoner of war. The House also recorded its deep sense of regret at the passing of Mr. T. D. Burnett, sitting member for Temuka, and Mr. George Witty, former member for Riccarton. In all cases the motions embodied a message of sympathy with the relatives.
