YACHTING
Skippered by Lieutenant-Commander G. F. Bothamley, Mr. H. M. Hayvice's keel yacht Viola won the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club's keeler handicap race on Saturday afternoon. Placings, with finishing and corrected times, are as follows:—Viola (6min), 5h 10m 455, 5h 4m 455, 1; Atalanta (scr), 5h 12m 41s, 5h 12m 41s, 2; Wairere (7min), 5h 24m 9s, oh 17m 9s, 3; Wakarere (scr). 4; Wylo (ISmin), 5; Mandalay (14min), 6; Argo (15 mm), 7; Tui (45min) also started.
The centreboarders' race resulted as follows:—Tawera (smin), 5h 19m 12s, 5h 14m 12s, 1; Mercury (smin), oh 19m 10s, 5h 14m 10s, 2; Komaru (omin), 3; Dauntless scr), 4 ; Waitangi also started.
The Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club had good sailing conditions for its events on Saturday. Results were:—
A and B Class Keelers.—Viola (6min), 1; Atalanta (scr), 2; Wairere I (7min), 3. Next to finish were:—Wakarere (scr) 4, Wylo (18 mini 5, Mandalay (Hmin) 6, Argo (15min) 7. Tui (45min) also started. Won by Bmin on corrected times.
Centreboard.—Tawera (smin), 1; Mercury (smin), 2 ; Komaru (scr), 3. Dauntless (scr) was next and Waitangi (scr) also started. Won by Bsec.
