MAGISTRATE'S COURT
In the Magistrate's Court today, before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., James. Joseph Leach, a salesman, aged 29, pleaded guilty to failing to account for £399 14s 7d to Bushell's, Ltd., Auckland, and was committed to the. Supreme Court for sentence. Mr. T. P. McCarthy appeared for the accused.| Tom William Eric .Barker-Benfield, motor-driver, aged 21, and Kenneth King O'Neill, window-dresser, aged 19, were jointly charged' with breaking and entering a dwelling-house at Paraparaumu on October 27 and com--mitting theft. " They pleaded guilty and were committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. O'Neill also pleaded guilty to the theft of a radio set, and Barker-Benfield to the theft of a book, the theft of a quantity of liquor, cigarettes, and groceries, and the theft of a soda syphon. On these charges they were remanded to appear after the Supreme Court sentence had been imposed. Mr. T.'-P. McCarthy appeared for the accused. Leo Joseph Cronin, soldier, and i Maurice Alfred Wigg, soldier, plead- j ed guilty to the theft of a quantity^ of j liquor valued at £5 2s. They were convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within six
