FAST ATLANTIC FLIGHT

The fastest west-tc-east crossing of the Atlantic by a Perry Command aircraft was made by an American-built Liberator which arrived in Britain today. From take-off to touch-down the flisht took 8 hours?, 23 minutes.
The aircraft was piloted by Captain O. P. Kones, formerly well known to Imperial Airways and British Overseas Airways passengers.
The previous fastest west to east time was established by both a Liberator and a Boeing Fortress. Both planes made the trip in 8 hours 54 minutes.—B.O.W.
