FIRE RUINS OLD CASTLE
LONDON, December 1. The 800-year-old Loudoun Castle in Ayrshire, where the treaty of union with England was signed in 1707, was almost completely destroyed by fire which broke out in the early hours of the morning and raged for ten hours.
