AUSTRALIAN FORCES

RETURNED SOLDIERS' DEMAND

CAMPAIGN PROJECTED

{By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.)

SYDNEY, November 18,

The Federal conference of1 the Returned Soldiers' League, meeting at Brisbane, decided on an Australia-wide conscription campaign. The league wants Australia to conscript all industries, man-power, and .wealth immediately.

A move, planned by some returned soldier Opposition members of the Sen-ate-to force the Government's hand on the'conscription.of man-power for overseas service, is expected at Canberra in the next few days.

It is anticipated that an attempt will be made to amend the National Security Act by deleting the clause which forbids the Government to impose compulsory service overseas.

The Opposition has a majority in the Senate,- but if the amendment is passed there it will have to go to the House of Representatives, where the Government's majority comprises two Independents, Messrs. Wilson and Coles.

South. Australia has formed an Australian War Service League whose aims are conscription of man-power, womanpower, wealth, and all other resources.
