AXIS LOSES 18 PLANES
LONDON, November 19,
It is officially announced in Cairo that 18 enemy aircraft were destroyed in offensive patrols over Cyrenaica yesterday. One British aircraft is missing.
The army communique from the Middle East says that yesterday heavy rain again hampered operations. In spite of this, mechanised patrols continued their activities west and couth of Sidi Omar.
Little enemy opposition was encountered and a German armoured motor patrol was captured.
