PIXIE PEOPLE

Tonight we come to the end of our second Paragraph Con~ test, and all points for nine Saturdays have been added together. This is what the totals tell: "Bush Elf (12), Silverstream, one of our most faithful scribes, tops the list ivith 72 points. Although not usually among the highest points-winners, "Bush Elf" has kept up a steady average, and so he r total points bring her to first place. "Pip" (12), Heretaunga, ivho has not long been a member of. the Ring, comes second with 70 points, and only one point behind her is "Southern Star" (10), one of our youngest writers, with 69 points. Another good trier, "Southerly Buster" (IB), Johnsonville, takes fourth place, while "Genevieve" (13), is fifth, and "Grey Owl", (15) sixth. C ongratulations to these six good workers and to all those elves who continued to send entries each week, even though they were not among the points-winners. There will not be another contest before Christmas, so Ring writers and artists may think about Christmas and New Year stories, verses, puzzles, and sketches. Christmas gift ideas, too, will find places in the Ring between now and Christmas, so if you know of any please send th em along. My love to every elf. FAIRIEL.
