DRIVE ON ROSTOV HALTED
LONDON, October 31.
Latest reports show that the German drive on Rostov has been halted by stout Russian resistance. Neutral correspondents think the Germans might try a drive in the Crimea on Kerch, cross the straits, am? take Rostov in the rear. This would threaten Anglo-American supplies sent to Russia by way of Iran and the Caucasus. ;
