PERSONAL NOTES
Mr.' J. L. Menzies,' Australian Trade Commissioner in New Zealand, and Mrs. Menzies, have been visiting the! Rangitikei as the guestt of Mr. and j Mrs. E. B. Gordon. Miss Amy Kane, who has been visiting Southland on business for women's institutes,,has returned to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs: T. H. Lowry, "Okawa," and Mr. and Mrs. C. Haldane,: Hastings, have returned to Hawke's Bay after visiting Wellington for the races at Trentham. Mrs. J. H. Frater,. Remuera, has returned to Auckland from a visit to Wellington; Miss: Mary Slaflden, Khandallah, was the guest of Mrs. A. Dickie-for the Waverley race meeting. Mrs. S. Muir, Pukekura, Auckland, will visit Wellington this week. Mrs. J.,8. Bolton is a Wellington visitor to Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. L. Burt, Gonville, who were Wanganui visitors to Wellington for the Trentbam race meeting, have extended their holiday to include the Wellington Trotting Club's Meeting on Saturday..- They will return home early next week. The Misses Henaghan and Andrews, Feilding, arrived by plane this morning from .Dunedin.
