Holy Mound at Thermopylae
LONDON, October 30
The Greek Prime Minister, M. Tsouderos, declared today that Greek and British soldiers who fell at Thermopylae would be commemorated by a mound of "holy earth", set up at the historic pass.
He said: "This mound will cover the mortal remains of these heroes and render immortal the valour and sacrifices of the British and Greek comrades in arms."
