OPINION OF N.Z.R.S.A.
The Dominion Council of the New Zealand Returned Services Association decided yesterday afternoon to recommend to the Government that before married men were called up for service overseas (1) the cases of all single men who had been exempted or had their appeals adjourned sine die be reviewed: (2) that all men. eligible for overseas service who had failed to report when called up be forced to fulfil their obligations; and (3) that single men serving on home services who were eligible for overseas service be released from such services.
