CONCERT AT CAMP
V.M.C.A. THEATRE PACKED
The V.M.C.A. theatre at Trentham was packed with troops on Wednesday night, the reason for their enthusiasm being another concert arranged by the executive committee of the Official Camp Entertainers. The programme was presented by Mr. Eric Harrison and his concert party, and included snappy ballets and dialogue, tasteful frocking, and charming girls. The ballets are trained by Miss Marjorie Vause. who herself takes an' active part.
Miss Irene Spidy, pianist, made a welcome reappearance on Wednesday. Behind the scenes Mr. Harry Painter, in charge of the wardrobe, was kept especially busy. The intricate lighting system was in the charge of Mr. Edmunds.
The Camp Commandant, Colonel H.
D. McHugh, later introduced Mr. Harrison to the audience, who gave him a most enthusiastic reception. Colonel McHugh also paid a special tribute to the members of the company. Later he and his officers 'entertained the party to supper. The executive thanks the Automobile Association, Mrs. Clark, Messrs. Alston, and E. W. Chapman, and members of the concert party for providing transport.
