The ceremony was performed by the Mayor of Lower Hutt, Mr. J. W. Andrews. Members and visitors were welcomed by the presidentr Mr. W. De CliffordThe Mayor congratulated the club on the first-class condition of the property, mentioning the fact that it was a municipal green and, thanks largely to the members, an asset to the city. Mrs. Smith, wife of the president, rolled the first kitty and the Mayor sent up the first bowl.
