£5000 WAR GIFT FROM ASSAM
RUGBY, October 9.
A further £5000 from the Assam war fund which is acknowledged by. the Minister of Aircraft Production brings Assam's total to £65,000. The province has now given eight fighters and one bomber. A gift for a different purpose comes from employees of a laundry in the West Country. It is £10 towards making a 20001b "backroom bomb to give some German laundry a taste of what they themselves have experienced—B.O.W. •
