AIR CORPS
PHYSICAL TRAINING
Courses of physical training and recreation for the Air Training Corps throughout the ' Dominion have been completed by the Internal Affairs and Air Departments. The Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr. Parry) stated last night that centres for training established in Wellington and Auckland would be extended to Christchurch and Dunedin within the next few weeks. It was hoped ultimately to establish centres at the following places: Hamilton, Palmerston North, Wanganui, New Plymouth, Gisborne, Napier, Hastings, Timaru, and Invercargill.
Physical welfare officers, the Minister added, had opportunities of making the course very helpful to the young men of the corps. The new training scheme was in accordance with the national policy of raising the standard of physical efficiency, particularly .for all who were linked in any way with the war effort.
