Scenes of the flood trouble which has seriously affected road and rail north of Pukerua Bay. 1, Where the. big slip started from the coastal highway. 2, Looking down from the highway, showing 'he slip down into, the sea.past the front of a house. 3, Pond in the gully above the railway line, partially pumped out. with trailer pumps. 4, Water pumped from the pond above the line crossing the road. It was brought down the hillside by a flume to protect the banks against erosion.
