AUCTION SALE AT RAUMATI.

An auction sale of sections, leasehold and freehold, took place on Mr. H. A. sHowell's subdivision at Raumati on Saturday afternoon. The properties consisted of 14 freeholds and 20 leaseholds in perpetuity. The auctioneers, Dunbar Sloane, Ltd., report that there was a large attendance of buyers and the leaseholds, which were submitted first, were all sold in about 30 minutes. The freeholds which were next offered were also all sold in quick succession. They averaged £150 each. The leaseholds averaged £7 per annum.
