OBITUARY
MR. L. M. SCHRADER
■ A well-known figure in the drapery and softgoods trade in New Zealand,, and formerly prominent in sports circles in Wellington, Mr. L. M. Schrader, secretary of Dawson and Maudsley, indent agents, died suddenly today. Mr. Schrader, who was born in Australia, came to New Zealand many years ago ar\d became engaged in commercial life. He was a senior cricketer, and although of recent years he had given up active" participation in sport, he followed with interest the football competitions, and was a regular supporter of athletic meetings. His duties for ; his firm entailed travelling to most of the centres, and he formed many friendships throughout the country. He was closely identified, with Scots College, where both his sons were educated.
Mr. Schrader is .survived by his widow and two sons, Gordon,, who is an acting squadron leader in the R.A.F., and Warren, who is also in the Air Force.
