RUGBY EVENTS
Well-known representatives and players who lave been stalwarts in their clubs are to turn iut tomorrow as Centurions in a special Rugby, natch with' a Wellington representative side t Athletic Park. Amongst them is S. Gemmell, r'ho first gained New Zealand representative lonours in 1923 and • who was' a member of he famous record-breaking Hawke's Bay side if some years ago. He has returned to Rugby ictivity on the field this season in Wellington. )ther New Zealand representatives included in he side are J. M. Taylor, X. Berghan, and A. Vright, and there are,more with fine provincial ecords. F. Bognu^a and R. Pelhain are two rho share long service records with Gemmell. ?he appearance of the Centurions should atract much interest. Quite a strong Welling-' on side has been chosen to oppose the selection if noted players. Another event of interest ,t Athletic Park tomorrow .will be a match >etween the railway cadet representatives of Luckland and Wellington. This is to be the :urtain-raiser, and it should set the afternoon's ootball going in an attractive manner.
