GERMAN PROMISE OF PLENTY
DURING WINTER
(Rec. 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 8. The Rome radio says that the German Minister of Supply issued the statement that foodstuffs will be plentiful in Europe in the coming winter, that the harvest in France was 20 pef cent, greater than it was last year, and that half of Germany's crops were gathered, despite adverse weather.
