The Tokio correspondent of the "New York Herald-Tribune" says that a decision in the negotiations between Japan and the United States may be /reached this week.
Informed circles indicate that an understanding may be concluded between the two countries.
A statement clarifying the course of the negotiations is expected in a few days.
